PHP
stands for Hypertext Preprocessor, software used for
creating multi-faceted websites. It was developed and officially
released in the market in the late '90s. Over the years, PHP has
become a common tool, and as such, PHP web hosting has become a
favorite choice of users. However, in Canada, PHP web hosting is
not as prevalent compared to the other countries like the United
Kingdom and the United States. The reason for this is that PHP
is not used in Windows-based softwares; thus, PHP web hosting
can only be accessed in programs such as LINUX or UNIX and MySQL.
As its name implies, PHP web hosting is largely based on the PHP
technology, a general-source technology. This means that the
features offered specifically with this language are either free
or included in the whole solutions package. It's commonly found
in most interlinked web networks as well. PHP is also compatible
with other servers such as Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP)
and Internet Message Access Patrol (IMAP).
A script of PHP can be found in HTML within certain enclosements
or tabs in the program. Because PHP can be easily accessed
through the tabs, the user can easily switch from PHP and HTML.
This saves the user a lot of time in designing pages because he
doesn't have to depend on multiple codes to view his work.
Another good thing about PHP is that it can actually produce the
same quality of work with that of most computer graphics
softwares. It also guarantees the confidentiality of a work in
progress. Since PHP is implemented in the main network, an
unauthorized person would not be able to access the PHP script
in its initial phase.
